The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Watch for our area, with dangerously high temperatures and heat index values possible later this week.
Because the Millicent Library is not air conditioned, we will be closely monitoring conditions inside the building on Wednesday and Thursday. If indoor temperatures reach unsafe levels, adjustments to library hours or temporary closures may become necessary to protect the health and safety of patrons, staff, and the library’s collections.
Any changes to library hours will be announced here on our social media pages and website.
Please note that the library is already scheduled to be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday.
