Youth Services offers a seasonal schedule of programs for children and families.

Special events for school vacation days, summer reading, and more are added throughout the year.

Monday Morning Playgroup

Meets Mondays from 9:30am - 11:30am for eight weeks quarterly (spring, summer, winter, fall).

Caretakers and children under 5 are welcome to drop-in and play with toys, games, art supplies, and read storytime books at this volunteer organized playgroup.


Baby and Toddler Storytime

Meets Tuesday from 9:30am - 10:00am for eight weeks quarterly (spring, summer, winter, fall).

Bond with your baby over books! Each weekly Baby Storytime includes early literacy fun with board books, songs, bounces, and lots of love. Recommended for ages 0-36 months. Siblings welcome! Outdoors on the Unitarian Church lawn (weather dependent - indoors in auditorium on rainy, hot, or wintry days).


Pre-K Storytime

Meets Wednesday from 10:30am - 11:30am for eight weeks quarterly (spring, summer, winter, fall).

Read, sing, get up and move, and make crafts! Recommended for kids age 3+. Siblings are welcome! Outdoors on the Unitarian Church lawn (weather dependent - indoors in auditorium on rainy, hot, or wintry days).


Crafternoon

Meets Thursday from 3:00pm - 4:30pm for eight weeks quarterly (spring, summer, winter, fall).

Drop-in crafts for all ages and skill levels! Something new each week. Young Children should be accompanied and assisted by an adult. Meets in the auditorium.


Brick Club

Meets every second Friday of the month from 4:00pm - 5:30pm.

Child-led, play-based social group for neurodivergent and neurotypical kids - all are welcome! Come together to build community and connection through a shared interest in LEGOs.  Hosted by Cassandra Facciano of beSpoke Speech Therapy. Meets in the auditorium.


Adventurer's Book Club

Meets on the third Friday of the month from 3:00pm - 4:30pm, monthly (with exceptions).

A Book Club for the adventurous reader...literally. Read the book before the meeting (copies available at the library). Take a walk or visit a local site while discussing the book! Past ventures include: West Island State Reservation, the Manjiro House, and Woodside Cemetery. Recommended for middle school kids, ages 8-12.
